Our new Resident Engineer hire will;
Provide quality control, supervision and Contract administration for various highway roadway construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, traffic signal, foundations, pulling of wire & fiber cable, conduit installation, highway lighting, various ITS system installation, utility relocation work, coordination and safety.
Provide quality control for various highway roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination and safety.
Responsible for field construction efforts, construction sequencing, cost, scheduling and performance decisions.
Assure that proper document control, quality assurance documentation and construction project records are kept.
Assure quality and uniformity in the records of various contracts in the overall program.
Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following requirements:
Minimum 10 years related experience, including construction bridge (rehabilitation & new) and roadway (earthwork, sub base, concrete and asphalt pavement, drainage, lighting, guiderail and striping for rehabilitation / new) inspection and maintenance and protection of traffic for day and nighttime operations.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Resident Engineer on NJDOT projects
Rutgers Traffic Control Coordinator
SAT Certification
ACI Certification: Field Grade 1 and CCTC or CCSI
Valid Driver's license
Additional Preferred Qualifications
NICET IV Certification
NJDOT Site Manager Experience
Certified Fiber Optic Technician
Strong PC Skills, in Microsoft Office
Strong time management and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
