Description and Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Director will lead the Supply Chain division of the organizations fast growing North American Taste portfolio. The position reports to the Vice President of Supply Chain, North America and can be located at either Company North American Headquarters in Beloit WI or at our Clark, New Jersey, Taste facility.
This role focuses on business leader support, financial management and margin optimization through analysis of various measures/dimensions/strategies. The right candidate will have excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills; exhibits exceptional leadership style and skills and is able to build trust, confidence and collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as with our customers and suppliers.
The Supply Chain Director will oversee Kerry branded business, demand/supply planning, inventory/age/service levels, distribution, new product commercialization and customer service support.
The ideal candidate will be able to develop strong cross functional relationships in order to deliver on growth and service levels. The SCD will act as brand ambassador across the organization, delivering on key projects for all Taste initiatives.
Essential
Responsibilities:
Lead the strategic development of the Supply Chain, Taste operations team
Manage ongoing relationships with contract manufacturers
Develop and execute plans in order to improve service levels both domestically and internationally
Participate in development and implementation of business unit distribution strategy; deliver on future growth of the business brands
Manage and lead supply chain integrations for an active portfolio of acquisitions
Set, and actively manage initiatives related to quality improvement, service improvement and working capital investments
Collaborate with business development team on new commercial opportunities
Qualifications
BA/BS Degree required. Accredited in Business, preferred Masters degree in related field of study, a plus
Flavors or Fragrance expertise a plus
7 years of management experience a must

years relevant supply chain experience working with revenue in excess of $200 million annually
5
years experience in a complex manufacturing environment, food and beverage experience a plus
Demonstrated leadership skills, experience managing, mentoring and developing teams
Ability to manage multiple customer relationships simultaneously with varied levels of complexity
Strong knowledge of Demand/Supply Planning - Strong financial and inventory systems knowledge
Able to 'hit the ground running', while quickly understanding complexities of the overall business
Prefers a hands on approach to all facets of role
Strong analytical thinking skillset; able to not only understand, perform root cause analysis and define required actions to deliver continuous improvement. Strong analytical thinking skillset; able to not only understand, but also extrapolate information from detailed reports and present to key stakeholders
Ability to influence, motivate and collaborate across all lines of organization
Strong systems knowledge, specifically; Microsoft Excel, Access, MAPICS , SAP and other ERP/DRP/MRP software
Global supply chain management experience, a plus
Excellent English speaking communication skills in both verbal and written format
Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, 25-30% annually
